GOOD MOURNING STUDIO
A nonprofit program supporting people who are turning grief into creative work.
Good Mourning Studio is a nonprofit program that supports people turning grief into creative work. Whether it’s a book, an album, a painting, a website, or something else; we help bereaved people give shape to what they’re carrying and keep the connection to the person they lost through making.
Grief brings complicated energy that’s hard or unhealthy to put just anywhere. Imagining and creating give it a place to go. You don’t need to be an artist, and there’s no timeline or “right” way to grieve. We offer workshops, mentorship, community, and resources to help you start, keep going, and finish a project that matters to you.
How it works:
CONTACT
Use the contact form below to tell us a bit about yourself and where you are in your creative process.
CONSULT
We will connect with you (phone/zoom/in-person) to learn more about your grief journey and creative ideas.
Then we will offer you some options of how we may be able to help.
CREATE
If everything sounds good, you create and we will do our best to support your project.
Good Mourning Studio is an arts & creativity community and not a substitute for therapy or clinical care. We’re glad to help connect participants with grief counselors and other resources.
